Dr. Prashant Kumar has a distinguished background including a gold medal and honours in MBBS and an MD in Ophthalmology from AIIMS New Delhi, Dr. Prashant Kumar credentials are further bolstered by DNB, FRCS (I)(Glasgow), and FICO certifications. After his MD degree he pursued his specialisation in cataract and Vitreo-Retina from AIIMS Delhi for the next 3 years.His specialization encompasses :-almost every type of cataract surgery (simple, complicated, paediatric, traumatic)-Retina surgeries (retinal detachment, giant retinal tear, macular hole, diabetic tractional retinal detachment, traumatic retinal detachment)-Uvea-ROP-Cornea (corneal transplant)-Neuro-ophthalmology-Glaucoma.Prior to coming back to Patna, Dr. Kumar contributed significantly to AIIMS Delhi, performing thousands of cataract and Retinal surgeries from patients all over the world.
