My experience with Dr. Abhinav Kumar has been excellent because they didn't promise a 'cure,' but rather a management plan to stop the spread and induce repigmentation. They were honest that maintenance treatments are often needed to prevent relapse. If you are looking for an overnight fix, this isn't it******but if you want a dedicated professional who uses evidenced-based methods (and isn't afraid to adjust treatment) to get the **** possible outcome, I highly recommend them. I was facing heavy hair loss for a long time, so I started reading about hair transplants on Internet and social media sites Reddit, Twitter ,FB etc.
In one of the discussions, a user in Reddit Sub of Hair Care suggested this doctor’s name.
So I decided to check more about him.
When I searched properly, I found out that he did his MBBS from MAMC, which is a top medical college in India.
He also did his MD from LHMC in Dermatologist and has a lot of experience.
This information gave me a lot of confidence.
I called the doctor in the first week of October.
I expected a receptionist to pick up, but the doctor himself answered the call. He explained everything very calmly the process, what to expect, how long it takes, everything.
I work in Mumbai, so I was confused about travelling to Patna.
I had a small hesitation in my mind. But after talking to him, some doubts were cleared off.
He was clear, honest, and did not oversell anything and told me what to expect.
Also the cost he told is very reasonable compared to Mumbai or Delhi centres
My appointment was fixed for 25 November 2025.
Day 1 Arrival (25 November)
When I reached Patna, I found that the doctor had already arranged a car for me. The driver took me straight to the hotel.
On the same day, all my tests were done:
Blood tests, ECG, Basic health checks etc
In the evening, from 7 PM to 10:30 PM, the pre-incision work was done.
Day 2
The main surgery started at 9 AM and went on till 9 PM
12 hours non-stop.
All grafts were removed and implanted during this time.
At night, the doctor told me that 3.5 hours of work was still left.
He said, "We can finish it now if you want.”
But then he added,
“Quality will be better if my staff rests and works fresh tomorrow.”
For me, this showed that the doctor truly cares about quality, not rushing or taking more patients.
Day 3
Next morning, from 9:30 AM to around 1 PM, the remaining work was done.
A total of 3600 grafts were implanted.

Day 4 After care
Today, the doctor explained everything very clearly:
How to wash my hair, How to take the medicines, Multivitamins, Minoxidil, Instructions for the next 10–15 days
He explained everything in a simple way, so there is no confusion.
And also said he will be available on watsapp for any query.
My experience till now has been good.
Results will hopefully start showing after 4-5 months.
I will write another detailed review at that time about what result has been achieved.
