Dr. Akhil Bhalla is an interventional spine and pain physician with more than 4 years of experience in pain medicine. Dr. Akhil having completed his MD Anesthesia, comlpeted his Fellowship in Pain Medicine from D Y Patil University. His areas of interest include long standing chronic pains not responding to conventional treatment, non surgical interventions for disc diseases, joint pains, neuropathic pain conditions, palliative care for cancer pain, fibromyalgia, etc.He aims to provide holistic improvement in the patient with reduced drug dependance, non-surgical approaches for pain relief and improved quality of life. He has expertise in many advanced interventional pain management techniques like fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided minimally invasive procedures, nerve blocks, intra-articular injections, radiofrequency ablations, ozone therapy, PRP (Platelet rich plasma) therapy, Botox injections (for headache or spasticity), intratheceal drug delivery system, spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty etc.
