Dr. Krishna K. R is a Neuropsychiatrist who has more than 16 years of combined experience both in India and abroad. Dr. Krishna K. R completed his MBBS from KIMS Hubli and initially took up training in Radiotherapy (oncology) in 2000. How ever he quit the training and moved to Ahmedabad to complete his MD in Psychiatry from Sheth K M School of Postgraduate Medicine and Research, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. During his training he took up Catatonia in Schizophrenia as research and his paper was published in Asian Journal of Psychiatry which has been cited in various research papers around the world.After completing his post-graduation in India, he moved to UK for further training and was part of Prestigious Guys and Kings Thomas Institute London. He later moved to Birmingham and worked as Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry (Geriatric psychiatry) for most of his career. His knowledge in Old age Psychiatry especially with Dementia and Other mental health disorder at old age has helped him to understand and to take more work related to Research in Old age in India. He also has collaborated with the Police in UK as Forensic physician which has helped build knowledge in fields of Addiction and Mental Health and its impact on the detainees. He is also Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist from Saint George’s University London.His fields of interests range from Dementia to Addiction, Rehabilitation and Schizophrenia. He is a Fellow of Indian Psychiatric Society and affiliate Member of Royal College of Psychiatry UK. He is also a member of Neuropsychiatry branch of Royal College of Psychiatry. His current interests are RTMS in Psychiatry and other Neuromodulation technique for Brain.He is also the Founding member of FRAME Trust (Foundation for Research Advocacy in Mental Health) which is a platform for conducting Research in mental Health and Advocacy.
