Description
Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the nose, throat, tonsils, ear, lungs and skin, etc. It works by blocking the formation of proteins required for bacterial growth. Thus, it prevents further bacterial growth and multiplication. This medicine is only effective for bacterial infections, not for viral and other infections. Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup may cause some common side effects such as stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Avoid activities like driving vehicles and operating machines as this medicine may make you feel dizzy. Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup can be taken with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Your dose will depend on the severity of your condition. Try taking this medicine at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may lead to antibiotic resistance (a condition where infection-causing organisms develop the ability to defeat the effect of drugs designed to kill them). Antibiotic resistance

Finish your entire course of treatment with Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup, even if the condition gets better to avoid antibiotic resistance (the bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics). If you still feel unwell after completing your antibiotic course, make an appointment to consult your doctor.

Driving or operating machinery

Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup may cause blurred vision, dizziness, or drowsiness and hence do not perform any activities such as driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms.

Myasthenia gravis

Myasthenia gravis is a skeletal muscle weakness condition characterized by severe weakness of any of the muscles under your voluntary control, including the arms and legs. Take Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup with extreme caution if you have myasthenia gravis as it may get worsen.

Antacids

If you are taking an antacid containing aluminium and magnesium salts for indigestion, it can increase the time it takes for Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup to act on your body. Because of this, it is recommended to take this antibiotic at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking antacids.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Zithrox Xl 200 MG Dry Syrup as soon as possible. If it is already time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose.
