Description
Xexto MR Tablet is a combination of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone. It is used for the treatment of pain, swelling, and tenderness associated with muscle injury and muscle spasms. This medicine works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and swelling. Xexto MR Tablet shows side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhoea and tiredness. This medicine may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines. Xexto MR Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Adhere to the dose and frequency prescribed by your doctor. You should keep taking the medicine even if you feel better until your doctor says to stop using it. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Xexto MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and also increase the risk of liver damage. Xexto MR Tablet may interact with other medicines and health conditions. Inform your doctor if you have liver, heart, or kidney problems and/or stomach ulcers before taking Xexto MR Tablet. Also, inform your doctor about all the other medicines you are using. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.

Peptic Ulcer

Avoid taking Xexto MR Tablet if you have ulcers in the stomach and intestine. This medicine can cause severe swelling and bleeding in the stomach, colon, and anus. Hence, it may worsen your condition.

Bleeding disorder

Xexto MR Tablet may prolong the blood clotting time and therefore increase the risk of bleeding. Hence avoid using this medicine if you have a bleeding disorder as it may worsen your condition.

Take Xexto MR Tablet with caution as long term use can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious conditions like ulcers and bleeding in the stomach and/or intestine may occur.

Driving or operating machines

Xexto MR Tablet may cause sleepiness or dizziness. Avoid driving vehicles and/or operating heavy machines after taking this medicine.

Missed Dose

Try not to skip the scheduled dose of Xexto MR Tablet. If you missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next dose, skip the dose. Never take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Reach the nearest emergency medical department or contact your doctor in case of Xexto MR Tablet overdose.

5-HIAA Urine Test

Xexto MR Tablet can interfere with urine tests and may give a false-positive result. Inform your doctor and lab technician about all your current medicines before undergoing any lab test.
Take Xexto MR Tablet with food to avoid stomach irritation. Drink adequate water for easy swallowing. Do not break, crush or chew the tablet in the mouth. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Take Xexto MR Tablet around the same time daily. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Xexto MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and also increase the risk of liver damage. Avoid taking Xexto MR Tablet with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first. How it works
Xexto MR Tablet is a combination of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone. Aceclofenac works by inhibiting the formation of certain chemical substances in the body that cause pain and swelling. Paracetamol helps in reducing the pain signals responsible for swelling and pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the spinal cord and brain to reduce the impulses responsible for muscle spasms.
