Description
Wincold Z Tablet is a combination of Cetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. It is used to treat the symptoms of common cold such as sneezing, runny nose, cough, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. It also helps to relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose and watery eyes Wincold Z Tablet may cause some common side effects such as sleepiness, diarrhoea, nausea, dryness in the mouth, dizziness, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms stay for a long time or if they become severe. Wincold Z Tablet can be taken with or without food. It is better to take it with food to avoid stomach discomfort. Take this medicine for the prescribed duration. Consult your doctor if the symptoms do not improve in a week. Wincold Z Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, high blood pressure, or diabetes. This medicine is not recommended in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Severe kidney impairment

Severe liver impairment

Severe liver impairment is a condition of reduced liver function. Wincold Z Tablet is not recommended as it may worsen your condition.

Hypertension

Hypertension is a condition in which your blood pressure level is high. Wincold Z Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severe hypertension because it may worsen your condition.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO)

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO) are a class of medicines used to treat depression. Wincold Z Tablet is not recommended if you have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors within the last 14 days due to the increased risk of severe side effects.

Pregnancy

Driving or operating machines

Other medicines

Missed Dose

Cardiovascular disease

Wincold Z Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have any cardiovascular diseases (medical conditions of the heart and blood vessels). This medicine increases heart contractions and oxygen consumption thus increasing the workload on your heart. Inform your doctor if you experience symptoms like irregular heart rate and/or very high blood pressure.

Diabetes

Wincold Z Tablet should be used with caution if you have diabetes (a condition where the blood sugar levels are very high). This medicine may further increase your blood sugar levels. Hence, your sugar levels need to be closely monitored while using this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia

Benign prostatic hyperplasia is an enlargement of the prostate gland (a walnut-shaped gland in men that carries sperm carrying fluid). Wincold Z Tablet should be used if you have an enlarged prostate due to the risk of increased difficulty in passing urine.

How it works
Wincold Z Tablet is a combination of Cetirizine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Cetirizine works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical substance in the body responsible for allergic symptoms. Thus it provides relief from allergy. Paracetamol works by preventing the formation of prostaglandin, the chemical responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine acts on the blood vessels in the nose and helps in relieving congestion.
