Description
Vysov-M 50 mg/500 mg Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the way the body processes blood sugar (glucose). With type 2 diabetes, the body either does not produce enough insulin or resists insulin. Vysov-M 50 mg/500 mg Tablet works by releasing hormones that increase insulin levels in the blood. This insulin then metabolizes the glucose, hence lowering the blood sugar level. Vysov-M 50 mg/500 mg Tablet is also effective in preventing diabetes-related complications such as kidney damage, heart diseases, stroke and blindness. You can take this tablet with food. It is very important to do regular exercise and have a healthy diet while taking this medicine as a healthy lifestyle helps in lowering blood glucose levels. Do not stop the treatment abruptly as it can cause unwanted side effects. Some common side effects of Vysov-M 50 mg/500 mg Tablet are low blood sugar levels, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, and nausea. This medicine can lower the blood glucose level more than is required. This can lead to lightheadedness, sweating, dizziness, fainting, and dry mouth. You can carry sugar or glucose candy and have them to control your symptoms if you experience any. Contact your doctor if the side effects do not go away or worry you. Vysov-M 50 mg/500 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with type 1 diabetes (a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin) and diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of blood acids called ketones due to diabetes). This medicine is also not used in children, pregnant and lactating women unless prescribed by a doctor. If you have any kidney or liver diseases, you will be given a dose adjusted according to your condition. This medicine can interact with other medicines and diseases, so it is important to tell your doctor about all the medicines and supplements you take before using this medicine.

How it works
Metformin decreases the absorption of glucose from the intestines and increases the action of insulin in the body. Vildagliptin works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. Vysov-M 50 mg/500 mg Tablet is thus better effective than monotherapy in lowering blood glucose levels.
