Description
Vymada 200 mg Tablet is a combination of Sacubitril and Valsartan. This medicine is used to reduce the severity and risk of hospitalisation in people with chronic heart failure (a serious condition in which the heart is unable to pump a sufficient amount of blood). It helps in relaxing the blood vessels and promoting smooth blood flow. This makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Vymada 200 mg Tablet may show side effects like cough, nausea, stomach discomfort, tiredness, diarrhoea, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you for a long time or become severe. Avoid driving vehicles and operating machines as this medicine may cause dizziness. Vymada 200 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body and for the ease of remembering. Avoid taking more or less than the prescribed dose. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may further worsen your condition. Vymada 200 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Allergy

Aliskiren

Aliskiren is a medicine used to control high blood pressure. Avoid taking Vymada 200 mg Tablet and Aliskiren together if you have diabetes, as it may lead to kidney damage, low blood pressure, and hyperkalaemia (high potassium levels in your blood). Thus it may worsen your condition.

Angioedema

Angioedema is the swelling of the area beneath the skin, often around the face and lips. ACE inhibitors and Angiotensin Receptor blockers are a class of medications used in the treatment of high blood pressure. Vymada 200 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a history of angioedema related to the use of ACE inhibitors or Angiotensin Receptor Blockers, or have angioedema due to a known or unknown cause. This medicine can trigger or aggravate the condition.

ACE inhibitors

ACE inhibitors are a class of medication used in the treatment of high blood pressure. Coadministration of Vymada 200 mg Tablet with ACE inhibitors is not recommended due to the increased risk of side effects. Avoid taking this medicine within 36 hours of switching from or to an ACE inhibitor.

Renal artery stenosis

Vymada 200 mg Tablet should be used with caution if you have renal artery stenosis as it may further impair kidney function. Your doctor may suggest tests to monitor your kidney function periodically during treatment with this medicine.

Hyperkalaemia

Hyperkalaemia is an increase in potassium levels in your blood. Vymada 200 mg Tablet should be used with caution as it may cause hyperkalaemia. This risk is especially higher if you have diabetes, severe kidney problems, or are taking high potassium diet. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine based on your clinical condition.

Use in children

Vymada 200 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established.

Driving and operating machines

Missed Dose

Vymada 200 mg Tablet is broken down in the liver and filtered through the kidneys. Therefore, this medicine should be used with caution if you have liver or kidney problems. Your doctor may adjust the dose in such cases based on your clinical condition.

Hypotension

Vymada 200 mg Tablet should be used with caution as it may cause hypotension (low blood pressure). The risk is especially higher if you have low levels of sodium in your body or low fluid volume due to excessive vomiting, diarrhoea, kidney failure, use of medication that increases water and sodium excretion from the body, etc. Hence, regularly monitor your blood pressure while you are taking this medicine.
