Description
Tugain 5% Solution is a medicine that contains Minoxidil. It is used to treat hair loss. It promotes hair growth by increasing the blood flow to hair follicles by widening the blood vessels. It is very effective in individuals aged below 40 years. Tugain 5% Solution may rarely cause some side effects like itching and skin irritation at the site of application. These side effects are rare and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or worsen. Tugain 5% Solution is for external use and for applying on the scalp only. It can be applied once or twice a day to the scalp or as prescribed by your doctor. Before applying it, make sure your scalp is clean and dry. It may take two to four months to observe any hair growth. Excessive use will not fasten the hair growth and may raise the chances of its side effects. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Tugain 5% Solution will not cause permanent regrowth of hair. You have to use it regularly to maintain healthy and long hair. Inform your doctor if your condition worsens or does not improve after four to six months of use. Accidental contact of this medicine on other body parts can cause unwanted hair growth. Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth. Rinse properly with plenty of water in case of accidental contact. Tugain 5% Solution is not recommended for use for children under the age of 18 and elderly people above the age of 65 unless prescribed by the doctor. It may not be suitable if your hair loss is caused by medicines (as in chemotherapy) or a nutritional deficiency. Inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure or if you are using other creams or lotions to treat scalp conditions. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medicine.

Apply Tugain 5% Solution as instructed by your doctor. It is not necessary to shampoo your hair every day before using this solution. Before applying Tugain 5% Solution make sure your hair and scalp are totally dry. Apply it at the same time every day for 3 to 4 months to see hair growth. You should not shampoo your hair for 4 hours after using Tugain 5% Solution. Let your hair dry naturally after 2 to 4 hours of its application. This medicine may stain your clothes, caps, or bed sheets. Keep away from the reach of children and pets. Do not use it after the date of expiry. Keep away from fire or flame as this medicine is inflammable.
