Description

General warnings

Concomitant use with opioids

This medicine should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of side effects such as profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and death. This risk is especially higher if this medicine is used along with opioids. Close monitoring of the patient for any severe side effects is recommended during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Withdrawal symptoms

This medicine may cause withdrawal syndrome after discontinuation of therapy. This risk is especially higher if the treatment is discontinued abruptly. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of any unusual symptoms such as extreme anxiety, irritability, muscle pain, confusion, restlessness, etc. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Dependency

This medicine has the tendency to cause dependency and abuse particularly after prolonged use or excessive dosages. Individuals with a history of alcohol or substance abuse should be treated carefully when they are on this medicine. The withdrawal of this medicine should be tapered off gradually.

Depression

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in the patients with the history of depression or a family history of depression due to the risk of worsening of the condition. Driving and operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. It is advised that you do not take this medicine during the daytime. If it is daytime, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule at bedtime. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose.
