Description
Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid which is used to relieve symptoms such as swelling and pain in various conditions such as arthritis, skin disorders, and allergic disorders. The topical form of this medicine is used to treat symptoms such as redness, itching and swelling associated with various skin disorders such as eczema and dermatitis. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with diabetes and liver and kidney diseases.

General warnings
Optic neuritis
The use of oral corticosteroids is not recommended in the treatment of optic neuritis since it may lead to recurrent episodes.
Vaccination
Administration of live or attenuated vaccines is not recommended in patients receiving immunosuppressive doses of this medicine due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects. Your doctor may advise you an appropriate time gap between the administration of the vaccine and the medicine or suggest an alternative medicine or alternative means of vaccination based on your clinical condition.
Infections
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from systemic infections since it may worsen the patient's condition. Patients who are at risk of developing infections should be monitored closely during treatment with this medicine for any signs of infections. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Abrupt discontinuation
Do not stop the use of this drug without consulting your doctor. Abrupt discontinuation may cause withdrawal symptoms such as drowsiness, confusion, headache, fever, etc.
Missed Dose
Contact your doctor immediately for further instructions if you miss a scheduled dose of Triamcinolone injection. If you miss an oral or a topical dose, you can take/apply it as soon as you remember. However, skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not apply/take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
