Description

Tranlok M (250/500 mg) Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding and acute pain that occurs with menstrual disorders.

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

    This medicine is not recommended for use before or after a CABG (coronary artery bypass graft) procedure since it may worsen the patient's condition.
  • Acquired defective color vision

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a defective color vision since this condition hinders one endpoint of toxicity determination for the medicine.
  • Subarachnoid hemorrhage

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a subarachnoid hemorrhage due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
  • Obstructive blood clotting disorder

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having clotting disorders or patients predisposed to clotting disorders since it may worsen the patient's condition.

How it works

Mefenamic acid provides pain relief by blocking the production of certain chemicals responsible for causing pain and swelling. Tranexamic acid stabilizes the blood clot by inhibiting certain enzymes which break down the clot during a bleeding episode.
