It helps to relieve redness, swelling, and itching associated with topical fungal infections, surgical wound infections, bacterial skin infections, skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatoses, ichthyosis, etc. However, this combination is banned for use in India due to its severe adverse effects. Terbicad Ointment may rarely cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These symptoms last only for a very few days and disappear with time. Do not use this cream if you are previously allergic to it. Apply a thin film of the Terbicad Ointment to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Wash and dry the affected area before application. How it works
Clobetasol is a topical steroid that prevents the production of prostaglandins- the substance that causes redness, itching and swelling. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase which helps to kill or prevent the growth of bacteria. Ornidazole kills bacteria and other infectious germs by damaging their DNA. Terbinafine stops the growth of fungi by preventing the production of a protective covering necessary for the fungal cell wall formation.
