Description
Tenovate-M Cream is a combination of Clobetasol and Miconazole. It is a topical medicine (for external use only) that helps to treat skin infections. It helps to relieve symptoms like redness, swelling, and itching caused by bacterial and fungal skin infections. Tenovate-M Cream is used in conditions such as psoriasis (a condition in which skin cells build up and form scales, and dry, itchy patches), dermatoses (any skin lesions or eruptions), athletes foot (a fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet) etc. This cream works by blocking the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that cause redness, swelling and itching. It also prevents the growth of fungi. Tenovate-M Cream may cause some side effects like burning, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Before you start using this cream, perform a patch test by applying it to a small area on your skin to know how your skin will react to Tenovate-M Cream. Discontinue the use if you experience excessive itching or swelling. Tenovate-M Cream is recommended for external use only. Clean your hands and the affected area properly before applying this medication. To see the effects of this medicine, use it regularly as advised by your doctor. If you do not notice any change in your skin condition, consult your doctor for further guidance. Tenovate-M Cream can interact with other medications. Inform your doctor if you are using any other externally applied medicines for the same or other conditions. Breastfeeding mothers should make sure to prevent the contact of this medicine to their infant. This medicine is usually safe to use in pregnancy. However, it is advised to consult your doctor before using it.

How it works
Tenovate-M Cream is a combination of Clobetasol and Miconazole. Clobetasol works by inhibiting the production of chemicals that cause redness and swelling. Miconazole acts by stopping the production of a certain vital component for the fungi. This results in disruption of the cell membrane formation process and prevents the growth of the organism.
