How it works
Telsartan-CT 40 Tablet is a combination of Telmisartan and Chlorthalidone effective in treating high blood pressure. Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensiin II (substance that tightens blood vessels) and causes relaxation of the blood vessels. Thus, it promotes the smooth flow of blood and lowers blood pressure. Chlorthalidone increases the excretion of water and sodium from the kidneys. This helps in lowering the blood pressure as well as swelling (oedema).
