Description
Telrose Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. It is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol/triglycerides (fats) levels. This medicine works by relaxing your blood vessels and reducing unhealthy fats in your blood. Thus it helps prevent the risk of heart attack and stroke (a condition that causes reduced oxygen supply to the brain). Telrose Tablet has some side effects like nausea, weakness, muscle pain, stomach pain, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects last for a long time or worsen. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Telrose Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose will be decided by your doctor based on your condition. Take it regularly at the same time for the ease of remembering. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Your doctor may suggest tests to regularly monitor your lipid levels (fat levels in the blood) to make sure the medicine is working properly. Telrose Tablet may not be suitable for all people. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not available. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, diabetes, hypothyroidism (low levels of thyroid hormone in the body) before taking this medicine. Also, inform your doctor about all your ongoing medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Hypotension

Hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism refers to a low level of thyroid hormone in your body. Hypothyroidism may be associated with rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of muscle tissue). Hence, Telrose Tablet should be used with caution if you have hypothyroidism as this medicine may further increase the risk of worsening your condition.

Kidney problems

Telrose Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as it may worsen your health condition. A high dose of this medicine used for a prolonged time may increase the risk of side effects. Your doctor may suggest tests to regularly monitor your kidney function while you are taking this medicine.

Cognitive impairment

Telrose Tablet should be used with caution if you have cognitive impairment (a condition that causes a decline in mental abilities like memory and thinking skills). This medicine may cause memory loss, forgetfulness, confusion, etc. However, these side effects are not serious and resolve after discontinuation of this medicine.

Use in children

Driving vehicles and operating machines

Missed Dose

How it works
Telrose Tablet is a combination of Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. Telmisartan works by relaxing your blood vessels. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow freely and the heart to pump more efficiently. Rosuvastatin reduces the production of cholesterol in the liver and helps to lower cholesterol levels in your blood. It further reduces the risk of complications related to high levels of cholesterol.
