Description
Tegrital Suspension is a prescription medicine that contains Carbamazepine. It is used in the treatment of certain types of seizures (a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain causing abnormal behaviour and loss of consciousness) and trigeminal neuralgia (a nerve disorder that affects the face causing sudden and severe pain). This medicine is used only to prevent seizure episodes but is not effective in curing the condition. Tegrital Suspension works by reducing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain. If you experience mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts, contact your doctor immediately. Tegrital Suspension may be taken with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. Your dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on your condition. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Continue taking Tegrital Suspension for the prescribed duration, even if you feel better after a few doses. If stopped abruptly, you might experience increased seizure frequency. Tegrital Suspension is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or any other medical conditions.
