Description
T Pill 21 Tablet is a combination of Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol. It is used as an oral contraceptive to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It works by preventing the fertilization of the egg. T Pill 21 Tablet may cause some side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, weight change, irregular periods, slight bleeding between periods, breast tenderness, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Avoid smoking during treatment with T Pill 21 Tablet as it may increase the risk of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke (brain damage due to the interrupted blood supply to the brain). T Pill 21 Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take this medicine as instructed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Make sure you do not miss a dose, as you are more likely to become pregnant in such cases. T Pill 21 Tablet should be avoided if you have heart or liver problems, stroke, uncontrolled high blood pressure, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, or liver, breast, or uterus/cervix cancer. Inform your doctor if you have other medical conditions to make sure this medicine is safe for you. T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended in women yet to achieve menarche (the first occurrence of menstruation) or after menopause (the end of the menstrual cycles). It is not recommended for use if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Abnormal vaginal bleeding

T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended for use if you experience episodes of abnormal vaginal bleeding that has not been diagnosed, as this medicine may worsen your condition.

Heart and blood vessel disorder

T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have any heart or blood vessels disorders such as deep vein thrombosis (blood clots that form in the deep veins of the body, usually in the thigh or lower leg), pulmonary embolism (blood clots that block one or more arteries in the lung), recent heart attack, stroke (a condition that occurs due to reduced blood supply to the brain), other blood clotting disorders, etc. Taking this medicine may worsen your condition.

Estrogen-dependent tumor

T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have or have had cancer that is attributed to abnormal levels of the hormone oestrogen in your body such as breast or uterus cancer.

Liver disease

T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have liver problems or liver tumour, as it may further worsen your condition.

Uncontrolled hypertension

Hypertension refers to high blood pressure. T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have uncontrolled hypertension as it may further worsen your condition.

Pregnancy

T Pill 21 Tablet is unsafe for use during pregnancy. It should be withdrawn immediately if pregnancy occurs.

Breast-feeding

T Pill 21 Tablet is not recommended for use while breastfeeding as small amounts of this medicine may pass into breastmilk. It may also reduce milk production. Hence, consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
General warnings

Abnormalities in vision

T Pill 21 Tablet has been associated with partial or complete loss of vision in some rare cases. Any abnormalities in vision should be promptly reported to your doctor. Special precautions should be taken if you are using contact lenses.

Driving or operating machines

Use of T Pill 21 Tablet may cause symptoms such as dizziness or blurred vision in some cases. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Use in women

T Pill 21 Tablet is only intended for use after menarche (the first occurrence of menstruation). It is not intended for use after menopause (the end of menstrual cycles in women).

Surgeries

Inform your doctor about the use of T Pill 21 Tablet before undergoing a surgery. The use of this medicine in such cases may increase your risk of developing blood clots. It should be discontinued at least four weeks prior to a surgical procedure and two weeks after a surgical procedure, under the supervision of your doctor.

Breast cancer

T Pill 21 Tablet should be used with caution as it may increase the risk of breast cancer.

Depression

T Pill 21 Tablet should be used with caution as it may cause depression. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts.

Jaundice

T Pill 21 Tablet may cause jaundice (a condition that causes skin and the whites of the eyes to turn yellow) due to its effects on liver function. Report the presence of any symptoms such as yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes, fever, chills, dark-coloured urine or clay-coloured stool, etc., to your doctor on priority. The use of this medicine should be stopped in such cases.

Smoking

Avoid smoking during treatment with T Pill 21 Tablet as it may increase the risk of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke (brain damage due to the interrupted blood supply to the brain).

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of T Pill 21 Tablet, contact your doctor immediately for further instructions. The instructions may vary based on the day the dose is missed and the number of doses missed. You may also require additional means of contraception as a backup if you miss a dose. The possibility of pregnancy should be considered at the first missed period, and the medicine should be discontinued upon confirmation of pregnancy.

T Pill 21 Tablet may be taken with or without food. Do not break, chew, or crush the tablet. Follow all the instructions given by your doctor while taking this medicine. Do not take more or fewer doses than prescribed. Inform your doctor about your ongoing medication before starting treatment with T Pill 21 Tablet to avoid undesired effects. T Pill 21 Tablet does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. Also, it will not help as an emergency contraceptive after unprotected sexual contact. If you feel sick with severe diarrhoea and vomiting, it may lead to the reduced effectiveness of this medicine. Hence use an additional birth-control method to prevent unwanted pregnancy in such cases. Keep T Pill 21 Tablet away from the reach of children and pets. Ensure that the unused medicine is disposed of properly.
