Description
Stersyl (Sterkem) 250 mg Tablet is a medicine that contains Ethamsylate. It is used to prevent or control abnormal bleeding in conditions like periods and dysfunctional uterine bleeding (any bleeding from the vagina that varies from a woman's normal menstrual cycle). It may also be used to prevent or reduce bleeding before, during or after delicate surgeries. Stersyl (Sterkem) 250 mg Tablet normalizes the blood vessel walls and increases platelet count at the bleeding site. It acts by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and helps in the formation of blood clots. Stersyl (Sterkem) 250 mg Tablet may cause side effects like skin rash, vomiting, nausea, headache and redness. Usually, these side effects get resolved with time. However, consult your doctor if any of these effects persist for a long time or worsen. Avoid using it if you are having medical conditions like porphyria (a rare disorder that mainly affects your skin or nervous system), fibroids (abnormal growth in the uterus), etc. Stersyl (Sterkem) 250 mg Tablet is a prescription medication. Allergy
