How it works
Betamethasone works by decreasing the release of certain substances that cause swelling and irritation. It also works by suppressing or partially preventing the effect of the immune system. Salicylic acid works by softening and loosening the dry, scaly, or thickened skin which, in turn, causes shedding of the outer layer of skin.
