Description

Sporolin 250 MG Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is used to treat infections of the skin, ear, bone and urinary tract. Use with caution if you have a known disease. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to penicillins and cephalosporins group of antibiotics.

General warnings

Allergy

Avoid if you have a known allergy to Sporolin 250 MG Tablet or Beta-lactam Antibiotics like penicillins and cephalosporins. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any allergic symptoms like rash, itching, nausea or vomiting, swelling of lips, hands, and feet.

Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea

Avoid if you experience severe diarrhea after receiving Sporolin 250 MG Tablet. As antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine which promotes the growth of bacteria called Clostridium difficile - causing diarrhea.

Impaired kidney function

Use with caution if you have a preexisting kidney disease. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made based on CrCl or eGFR.

Impaired liver function

Sporolin 250 MG Tablet and other cephalosporins are reported to cause liver diseases like Hepatitis and Cholestatic jaundice. Use with caution if you have a risk of developing liver disease. Suitable dose adjustments are to be made based on the clinical condition.

Drug- resistance

Usage of Sporolin 250 MG Tablet without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Missed Dose

The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of overdose.

Avoid if you experience severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, and blood in stools after taking Sporolin 250 MG Tablet. Inform the doctor if you have any gastrointestinal diseases. Drink adequate amount of water to prevent dehydration.

Seizure disorders

Use with caution if you have any seizure disorder or a family history of seizures. Discontinue if seizure is due to Sporolin 250 MG Tablet. Start with appropriate anticonvulsant medicine seizures are clinically indicated.
