Description
Solvin Cough Syrup is a combination medicine that consists of Dextromethorphan and Chlorpheniramine maleate. This medicine is used to treat dry cough. It is also used to treat allergic symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, throat irritation and watery eyes. It works by reducing the activity of the cough centre in your brain. Solvin Cough Syrup causes side effects like dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea and vomiting. However, these effects are temporary and will resolve with time. If you experience allergic reactions like itching, hives, redness, consult your doctor. Solvin Cough Syrup can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will determine the dose, duration and frequency of this medicine to be used, based on your condition. Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor even if your symptoms subside after taking a few doses as abrupt discontinuation may worsen your condition. Solvin Cough Syrup is not recommended for use in children below two years of age. Inform your doctor about all the medications that you are taking as some may affect the action, or be affected by this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver or heart problems. If you are a pregnant or a nursing woman, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

If you take this medicine before the MAO inhibitor is cleared from your body, it may cause serious unwanted effects which can be life-threatening.

General warnings

Emphysema

Missed Dose
