Description
Smarti-M Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Montelukast and Rupatadine. It is used to treat year-round symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, itching, etc. Smarti-M Tablet works by blocking the activity of histamines (chemicals substances in the body) that cause allergic symptoms. Smarti-M Tablet shows some common side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, rash, weakness, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a long time. Do not perform activities that require your concentration like driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine as it may affect your alertness and make you feel sleepy. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Smarti-M Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Smarti-M Tablet can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the dose based on your condition. Finish the prescribed treatment with Smarti-M Tablet, even if your condition gets better by taking few doses. Consult your doctor if you still feel unwell after completing your treatment course. Smarti-M Tablet may not be suitable for all people. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before starting the use of this medicine. How it works
Smarti-M Tablet is a combination of Montelukast and Rupatadine, montelukast acts by blocking the response of certain specific chemicals called leukotrienes that cause allergic reactions like swelling in the airways of lungs and nose. Rupatadine reduces the activity of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions like watery eyes, sneezing and runny nose.
