Description
Sizodon Plus Tablet is a combination medicine which may be used for the treatment of Schizophrenia and other mood disorders. It also helps in treating the extrapyramidal symptoms. This medicine should be taken regularly in prescribed timings. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly as it may cause withdrawal symptoms.

General warnings

Dementia- related psychosis

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with dementia-related psychosis due to the increased risk of death.

Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome

Use of this medicine may increase the risk of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome in some patients which is characterized by an increase in body temperature, muscle rigidity, altered consciousness. Patients are advised to discontinue the treatment with this medicine in such cases. An alternative treatment option should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Diabetes and Dyslipidemia

Use of this medicine may increase the blood glucose levels and lipids levels in the body. Assess these parameters before initiation of the treatment and regular monitoring of blood glucose and body weight is necessary.

Use in Children

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Use in Elderly

This medicine should be used with caution in elderly patients due to the increased risk of orthostatic hypotension and kidney injury. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Drug Withdrawal
