Description
Sizlac 100 Tablet is an anticonvulsant used either alone or in a combination with other medicines for the treatment of seizures (a burst of uncontrolled electrical activity between brain cells causing jerking movements or fits). It controls seizures (fits) by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Sizlac 100 Tablet causes side effects such as tiredness, loss of appetite, body ache etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects are getting persistent or worsening. Avoid activities like driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine can make you dizzy. Sizlac 100 Tablet can be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Take this medicine at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as your symptoms may reoccur. Sizlac 100 Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about your current medications and existing medical conditions. This will help your doctor to adjust your dose for avoiding side effects. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Allergy

Severe liver impairment

Sizlac 100 Tablet should be not be used if you have severe liver problems as this medicine is broken down and absorbed in the liver. An impaired liver might lead to a buildup of its metabolites, resulting in toxicity.

Second or third-degree atrioventricular block

Atrioventricular block (AV block) is a type of heart block that occurs when the electrical signal travelling within the heart is impaired. Sizlac 100 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a second or third-degree atrioventricular block as it may worsen your condition.

General warnings

Suicidal thoughts

Sizlac 100 Tablet may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts. If you are diagnosed with depression and other mental health conditions, take this medicine with caution.

Withdrawal symptoms

Abrupt discontinuation of Sizlac 100 Tablet may cause withdrawal symptoms like headache, nausea, etc. Your doctor will gradually reduce your dose and then discontinue the treatment.

Driving or operating machinery

You may experience symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, weakness, after taking Sizlac 100 Tablet. Avoid performing any tasks that need high mental focus, such as driving vehicles or operating machines.

Use in children

Sizlac 100 Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than four years of age since the safety and efficacy data of use are not clinically established.

Syncope

Sizlac 100 Tablet should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of syncope (fainting or sudden loss of consciousness or passing out). This risk is especially higher if you have heart problems or diabetes (high blood sugar levels).

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Sizlac 100 Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose of Sizlac 100 Tablet.

Take Sizlac 100 Tablet as instructed by your doctor. Drink plenty of water with it to avoid stomach irritation. Do not break, crush or chew the tablet. Sizlac 100 Tablet is given for a long period.
