Manufactured bySalvus Pharma
ContainsAceclofenac (50 mg/5 ml) + Paracetamol (125 mg/5 ml)
Description
Salvadol-P Suspension is a combination medicine that contains aceclofenac and paracetamol. This medicine is used to treat pain and swelling and to reduce elevated body temperature in children and infants. It works by blocking the action of chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and swelling. Salvadol-P Suspension shows some common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea. These side effects get resolved over time. If any of these effects persist for a long time or worsen, consult your paediatrician at the earliest. Do not use this medicine if your child had been allergic to it. Salvadol-P Suspension should be given to your child after food to avoid stomach irritation. Monitor your child’s temperature frequently. If you do not see any improvement, contact your paediatrician for further advice. Follow the prescribed dose and frequency while giving Salvadol-P Suspension to your child. Salvadol-P Suspension should be given to your child at a fixed time every day so that it becomes your daily routine and that helps to prevent missing a dose. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again. Do not give extra doses of Salvadol-P Suspension to your child to get faster results, as it may cause undesirable effects. Complete the course of this medicine even if your child feels better after giving few doses because abrupt stopping may worsen the condition. Salvadol-P Suspension may not be suitable for use in certain medical conditions. Inform your doctor if your child has any medical problems such as liver and kidney problems, peptic ulcers, birth defects, etc. This information is critical as it can help the doctor in planning a dose alteration and overall treatment. Inform your paediatrician about any other medicines that you are giving to your child as this medicine may affect other medicines or get affected by them.
