ContainsRisperidone (2 mg) + Trihexyphenidyl (2 mg)
Description
Ritex 2 Tablet is a combination of Risperidone and Trihexyphenidyl. It is used for the treatment of mental disorders like schizophrenia (a person develops unreal thoughts and behaviour) or bipolar disorder (a condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs and lows). This medicine works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical substances in the brain, which are responsible for causing the symptoms associated with such mental conditions. Ritex 2 Tablet can cause side effects like headache, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, sleep disorders, stomach pain, tremors, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects remain for a long time or worsen. Avoid activities like driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine can make you dizzy or drowsy. Ritex 2 Tablet may be taken with or without food as instructed by the doctor. The dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on the severity of your condition. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may worsen your condition. Ritex 2 Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about your current medications and existing medical conditions. This will help your doctor adjust the dose to avoid undesired effects. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Liver Disease

Ritex 2 Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have liver problems as this medicine is broken down in the liver, and if your liver is not working correctly, it may cause an accumulation of this medicine in the body, resulting in toxicity.

Kidney Disease

Ritex 2 Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as this medicine is filtered by your kidneys. If you have kidney problems, this medicine will not get filtered properly, thus increasing the risk of toxicity. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your clinical condition.
