Description

Revas 0.5 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and other heart complications. It should be consumed with proper diet and exercise. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to it.

Contraindications of Revas 0.5 MG Tablet

  • Allergy

    Avoid if you have a known allergy to Revas 0.5 MG Tablet or any medicine of the same class.
  • Aliskiren

    Use of these medicines is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease with CrCl less than 60 ml/min.

Dosage

  • Missed Dose

    The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.
  • Overdose

    Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of overdose.

  • Congestive heart failure

    Revas 0.5 MG Tablet is used with caution in patients with congestive heart failure especially in volume or sodium depletion. Transient hypotension is also not a contraindication to further treatment with AR antagonists, since therapy can usually be reinstated without difficulty after blood pressure stabilizes.

Warnings

Warnings for special population

  • Pregnancy

    - This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women.
  • Breast-feeding

    - This medicine is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding.

General warnings

  • Hypotension

    - Symptomatic hypotension may occur patients with volume depletion or who treated with high dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting Revas 0.5 MG Tablet or start the treatment at reduced doses.
  • Hyperkalemia

    - Revas 0.5 MG Tablet may cause hyperkalemia a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.
  • Impaired liver function

    - Revas 0.5 MG Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver failure.
  • Pediatric population

    - The safety and efficacy of Revas 0.5 MG Tablet has not been established in children age below 6 years. This medicine is not recommended for children with GFR less than 30 ml/min.
