Description

Renace Am (5/50 mg) Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure and ischemic heart disease. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age. Patients are advised to maintain a strict exercise and diet regimen along with this medicine for the best possible effect.

    This medicine is used in the treatment of Ischemic heart disease, a condition characterized by symptoms such as chest pain, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, irregular heart rate, etc.

Contraindications of Renace Am (5/50 mg) Tablet

  • Allergy

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to metoprolol, other beta-blockers, amlodipine, or other calcium channel blockers.
  • Heart diseases

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from heart diseases such as a heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock, sick sinus syndrome (without a permanent pacemaker in place), sinus bradycardia, etc. since it may worsen the patient's condition.
  • Circulatory disorders

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from blood circulation disorders since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Dosage

  • Missed Dose

    The missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
  • Overdose

  • Pheochromocytoma

  • Lung diseases

    - This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from obstructive lung diseases such as bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease since it may worsen the patient's condition. How it works

Amlodipine relaxes the heart muscles and the blood vessels. Metoprolol relaxes the blood vessels and reduces the heart rate, promoting a smooth flow of the blood. Their combination is thus effective in reducing the blood pressure and the strain on the heart.
