Description

Reflexin 250 MG Capsule is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is used to treat infections of the skin, ear, bone and urinary tract. Use with caution if you have a known disease. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to penicillins and cephalosporins group of antibiotics.

    Reflexin 250 MG Capsule is used in the treatment of Otitis Media which is an ear infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella.
  • Pharyngitis

    Reflexin 250 MG Capsule is used in the treatment of Pharyngitis which is an inflammation of Pharynx caused by group A Streptococcus.
  • Cystitis

    Reflexin 250 MG Capsule is used in the treatment of Cystitis which is a bladder infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
  • Pyelonephritis

    Reflexin 250 MG Capsule is used in the treatment of Pyelonephritis which is a type of kidney infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
  • Osteomyelitis

  • Breast-feeding

    - This medicine is known to excreted in human breast milk. It should be taken only if clearly needed under doctor's supervision. Monitoring of undesired effects like diarrhea or thrush is necessary.

General warnings

  • Allergy

    - Avoid if you have a known allergy to Reflexin 250 MG Capsule or Beta-lactam Antibiotics like penicillins and cephalosporins. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any allergic symptoms like rash, itching, nausea or vomiting, swelling of lips, hands, and feet.
  • Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea

    - Avoid if you experience severe diarrhea after receiving Reflexin 250 MG Capsule. As antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine which promotes the growth of bacteria called Clostridium difficile - causing diarrhea.
  • Impaired kidney function

    - Use with caution if you have a preexisting kidney disease. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made based on CrCl or eGFR.
  • Impaired liver function

    - Reflexin 250 MG Capsule and other cephalosporins are reported to cause liver diseases like Hepatitis and Cholestatic jaundice. Use with caution if you have a risk of developing liver disease. Suitable dose adjustments are to be made based on the clinical condition.
  • Drug- resistance

    - Usage of Reflexin 250 MG Capsule without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.
