Description
R-Cinex E Tablet is a combination of Rifampicin, Isoniazid and Ethambutol . This medicine is used for the treatment of tuberculosis (a bacterial infection that affects your lungs). It prevents the bacteria from growing, thus it helps in treating the infection. R-Cinex E Tablet might cause some side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, heartburn, etc., that subside with time. Avoid consuming alcohol while you are on treatment with this medicine because it may cause excessive drowsiness. Inform your doctor if any of the side effects become severe or persist for a long time. R-Cinex E Tablet is recommended to be taken on an empty stomach. Abrupt discontinuation may cause the infection to reappear. It may take some time for the medication to show its effects. However, if you notice a worsening of your condition or if it does not improve, consult your doctor. R-Cinex E Tablet should be used with caution if you have liver and stomach/intestinal problems. How it works
In R-Cinex E Tablet combination, Rifampicin works by interfering with the bacterial DNA synthesis and stops the growth of the bacteria. Isoniazid and Ethambutol work by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis; this stops the growth of the bacteria and ultimately leads to their death.
