Description
Pylokit-AC Kit is a combination kit consisting of Amoxycillin, Clarithromycin, and Esomeprazole. It is used to treat peptic ulcers (sores that form on the lining of the stomach or small intestine) caused due to infections in the gastrointestinal tract by Helicobacter Pylori bacteria. This medicine works by stopping the growth of the bacteria and killing them. It also helps in reducing excess acid production in the stomach. Pylokit-AC Kit may cause side effects like headache, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach pain, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or become worse. Avoid taking Pylokit-AC Kit if you are allergic to it. Pylokit-AC Kit can be taken 30 to 60 minutes before food. Take this medicine for the recommended duration. Ensure that your complete the course of treatment even if you feel better after a few doses. Early discontinuation of the medicine may worsen your condition and increase the risk of re-infection that would be difficult to treat. Avoid alcohol consumption while you are taking this medication as it may make you feel dizzy or drowsy. Missed Dose

Kidney Disease

Pylokit-AC Kit is filtered by the kidney and eliminated through urine. Use this medicine with caution if you have kidney problems due to the risk of kidney damage. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine based on your clinical condition.

Colitis

Pylokit-AC Kit can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and lead to diarrhoea. Use this medicine with extreme caution if you have stomach and intestinal problems, particularly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the colon), as it may worsen your condition.

Liver Disease

Use Pylokit-AC Kit with caution if you have liver problems. This medicine may further increase the risk of increased liver enzymes and liver damage. Inform your doctor of any history of jaundice (a condition that causes your skin and whites of the eyes to turn yellow) or other liver conditions you may have so he/she may prescribe an alternate medicine or recommend dose adjustments.

How it works
Pylokit-AC Kit consist of two antibiotics and one Proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Amoxycillin is an antibiotic that works by killing bacteria. Clarithromycin is an antibiotic that stops the growth and multiplication of bacteria. Esomeprazole stops the action of the proton pumps present on the cells that line the stomach, which decreases stomach acid production.
