Description
Provanol Plus 10 Tablet is a combination medicine which may be used for the prevention of migraine attacks. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

General warnings

Depression

Impaired kidney/liver function

This medicine should be used with caution in individuals with impaired kidney/liver function due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver/kidney function tests is necessary while taking this medicine. Glaucoma

This medicine should be used with caution in patients having glaucoma due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Report any instance of disturbance in vision, pain or dryness of eyes to the doctor immediately. Heart failure

Use of this medicine should be done with caution due to the increased risk of heart failure, especially in people having a heart disease. Elderly

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in individuals who are 60 years old and above due to the increased risk of sedation and muscle weakness.

Thyrotoxicosis

This medicine should be administered with caution in patients having elevated thyroid hormone level. Some adverse effects may not be evident in these cases. Hence doctor's intervention is a must before taking this medicine.

Sports

Athletes are advised to not indulge in certain sports while using this medicine. Archery, racing, shooting and other high-risk sports should be avoided. Sportspersons should refer to the list of medicines published by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which are not to be taken while participating in specific sports events.
