Description
Preva Gold 10 Tablet is a combination of Aspirin, Rosuvastatin, and Clopidogrel. It is used in the prevention and treatment of heart attack and stroke (a condition that occurs due to a decrease in blood supply to your brain). It may occur due to the formation of blood clots and the deposition of fats in your blood vessels. This medicine works by preventing the formation of blood clots and reducing the production of unwanted fats in your body. Preva Gold 10 Tablet shows side effects like headache, stomach pain, muscle pain, weakness, dizziness, stomach discomfort, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or become severe. This medicine acts as a blood thinner and may increase the risk of bleeding. Preva Gold 10 Tablet may be taken with food to avoid stomach discomfort. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment based on your clinical condition. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose as it may lead to side effects. Preva Gold 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Avoid taking this medicine if you have bleeding problems, or severe liver or kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines or have other medical conditions before starting the treatment. Allergy

Active liver disease

Bleeding disorder

Preva Gold 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have active bleeding or haemorrhagic disorders such as haemophilia (a condition where your blood does not clot normally), von Willebrand's disease (a bleeding disorder caused by low levels of clot protein in your blood), or telangiectasia (a condition where small blood vessels located near the skin surface widen). This medicine prevents blood clot formation and increases the bleeding time. Thus it may worsen your condition.

Severe kidney impairment

Preva Gold 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severely impaired kidneys as damaged kidneys will not filter the medicine completely out of your body, leading to toxicity.

Peptic Ulcer

Preva Gold 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have an active or a history of peptic ulcers (sores in the lining of your stomach and intestine due to excess acid production). This medicine may further cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and worsen your health condition.

General warnings

Cognitive impairment

Cognitive impairment is a condition that causes a decline in mental abilities like memory and thinking skills. Preva Gold 10 Tablet should be used with caution if you have cognitive impairment. This medicine may cause memory loss, forgetfulness, confusion, etc. However, these side effects are not serious and resolve after discontinuation of this medicine.

Altered blood sugar levels

Preva Gold 10 Tablet should be used with caution if you have diabetes (a condition in which there is an increase in your blood sugar levels) as this medicine may alter your blood sugar levels. Regularly monitor your blood sugar levels while you are taking this medicine.

Use in children

Preva Gold 10 Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not available.

Asthma

Asthma is a condition that occurs due to the narrowing of your airways leading to breathing difficulty. Preva Gold 10 Tablet should be used with caution if you have asthma as this medicine may cause bronchospasm (tightening of the muscles that line your airways).

Driving or operating machines

Avoid performing activities such as driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy during treatment with Preva Gold 10 Tablet.

Surgery

Inform your doctor about the use of Preva Gold 10 Tablet before undergoing surgery (including tooth extraction) as it may increase the risk of bleeding.

Use in elderly

Missed Dose

Try not to skip the dose of Preva Gold 10 Tablet. In case you missed a dose, take it immediately. However, if the delay is more than 12 hours, skip the dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Preva Gold 10 Tablet is a combination of Aspirin, Rosuvastatin, and Clopidogrel. Aspirin acts as a blood thinner and prevents the formation of blood clots in your blood vessels.
