Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known allergy to dexchlorpheniramine, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

Neonates and premature infants

This medicine is not recommended for use in neonates and premature infants less than 2 years of age due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)

This medicine is not recommended if the patient has taken MAO inhibitors like selegiline or rasagiline within the last 14 days. Their combination may increase the risk of adverse effects like drowsiness, blurred vision, as well as a life-threatening condition called serotonin syndrome.

General warnings

Use in elderly

This medicine should be used with caution in individuals who are 60 years old and above due to an increased risk of dizziness, drowsiness, and low blood pressure. Appropriate dose adjustments should be made under your doctor's supervision.

Use in children

This medicine is not recommended for use in children under the age of 2 years due to the risk of serious side effects.

Gastrointestinal blockage

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a gastrointestinal obstruction due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
