Description

Piribedil is used to relieve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It is effective in improving cognition, memory, and focus in the elderly population. It may also be used to relieve the symptoms of certain specific circulatory disorders of the lower limbs.

This medicine is not recommended for use in a combination with any medicine belonging to the antiemetic and neuroleptic class such as prochlorperazine due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.

Antipsychotic Neuroleptics

This medicine is not recommended for use in a combination with any medicine belonging to the antipsychotic and neuroleptic class, except clozapine, due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

This medicine is primarily used by the elderly population where the risk of a fall due to a sudden onset of sleep, confusion, or a sudden fall in blood pressure is significantly high. Patients and caretakers should be educated about the possible risks associated with the use of this medicine.
