Description
Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet contains Sildenafil. It is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve and/or maintain an erection adequate for sexual intercourse. This medicine works by relaxing the blood vessels and helps in increasing the flow of blood to the penis. Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet can cause side effects like flushing (redness and feeling of warmth), headache, stomach upset, blurred vision, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. This medicine can make you feel dizzy. Hence, avoid driving vehicles and operating machines until you know how it affects you. Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet can be taken with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet at least 30-60 minutes before sexual intercourse. This medicine will help you get/maintain an erection only if you are sexually stimulated. Do not take extra pills for quick results. Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet is intended only for men. It is not recommended for use in women and children. Also, inform your doctor about your current medications and pre-existing medical conditions. Allergy

Nitrate containing medicines

Avoid taking Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet if you have been prescribed any medicine that contains nitrates such as Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide, etc. It may cause a decrease in blood pressure and lead to cardiovascular collapse (a dangerous drop in blood pressure that can be fatal).

Riociguat

Riociguat is a medicine that is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH; high blood pressure in the vessels that carry blood to the lungs). Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet is not recommended for use if you are on treatment with Riociguat, as it may significantly lower your blood pressure, which can be dangerous.

Cardiac insufficiency

Cardiac insufficiency (heart failure) is when the heart muscle is unable to pump blood as well as it should. If you have severe unstable angina (chest pain due to decreased blood supply to the heart) or severe cardiac failure, avoid taking Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet. Sexual activity is also not recommended in such cases due to the potential risk of a heart attack.

Hypotension

Priapism

Priapism is a painful erection lasting for more than four hours. Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet may cause priapism in some cases. If an erection persists longer than four hours, seek immediate medical assistance.

Loss of hearing

Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet can cause a sudden decrease or loss of hearing. It may be accompanied by tinnitus (ringing of the ears) or dizziness, as the increased blood flow to the ears may cause damage. Seek prompt medical attention if you experience any hearing loss after taking this medicine.

Surgery

Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet can cause a severe drop in your blood pressure when combined with the effects of anaesthesia and other drugs used during surgery. If you are taking this medicine, inform your doctor before undergoing any surgery.

Use in children

Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data of this medicine are not clinically established.

Penegra Xpress 50 Tablet should be used with caution if you have gastrointestinal (stomach and intestine) bleeding or active ulcer (sore in the lining of the stomach and intestine).
