Oxetacaine

Description

In an oral form, oxetacaine is generally used in a combination with other medicines to treat pain associated with peptic ulcer disease and other diseases of the stomach and intestines. It is not recommended for use in children. When used topically, oxetacaine is used in a combination with other medicines to treat pain associated with anal fissures and hemorrhoids.

Driving or Operating machinery

Missed Dose

Take/Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose should be skipped. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Oral forms: Contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical intervention if an overdose is suspected. Symptoms of overdose may include sleepiness, extreme restlessness, excitement, confusion, coma, convulsions, increased body temperature, etc. Topical forms: An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause severe symptoms. However, contact your doctor immediately if you accidentally swallow the medicine or if you experience any severe symptoms.

How it works
