Description
Optichlor 1% Eye Ointment is an antibiotic. It is used in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (an infection of the outer surface of the eye that causes redness, discomfort, and discharge from the affected eye). It works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Optichlor 1% Eye Ointment may cause some side effects like burning sensation, irritation, and dryness of the eyes. These symptoms usually subside on their own. However, consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Optichlor 1% Eye Ointment is meant for use on the eyes only. Bone marrow suppression is a condition in which there is decreased production of blood cells in your bone marrow (a spongy substance present at the centre of your bones).
