Description

Opthovir 3% Ointment is an antiviral agent that is used for the treatment of initial genital herpes (a herpes simplex viral infection affecting the genitals causing symptoms like sores around the genitals and rectum) and certain types of sores caused by the herpes simplex virus in immunocompromised patients. It does not cure the infection and stop the spread of these conditions, however, it decreases the severity of the infection and reduces the symptoms.
