Description
Oncodac 200 Injection is an anticancer agent which is used in the treatment of malignant melanoma, a type of skin cancer and Hodgkin's Disease, a type of cancer that originates from the blood cells (lymphocytes) and affects the lymphatic system. It is also used to treat soft tissue sarcomas (cancers that start in tissues like bone or muscle) in adult patients.

Kidney impairment

Liver impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function tests is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Driving or Operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause dizziness, drowsiness, weakness or tiredness. Hence, it is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.

Risk of infections

Use of this medicine may weaken the immune system and may make you more vulnerable to infections. It is advised that you avoid coming in contact with people suffering from an infection while taking this medicine.

Oral intake restriction

Restriction of oral intake for about 4 to 6 hours is advised prior to the treatment with this medicine to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, etc.

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from infections due to the increased risk of bone marrow suppression which may further worsen the patient's existing condition. Report any signs or symptoms suggesting infection such as fever, sore throat, weight loss, red or inflamed skin, pain or burning during urination, etc. to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of hematopoietic function is recommended. An alternative treatment option should be considered in some cases based on the clinical condition.
