Description
OmniGel is a combination of Diclofenac, Methyl salicylate, Menthol and Linseed oil. It is a painkiller used to relieve joint pain associated with arthritis (swelling, tenderness and pain of one or more joints). It is also used to relieve the pain caused by muscles injuries such as sprain or strain. It works by reducing the formation of certain substances in the body that are responsible for causing pain and swelling and also provides a cooling sensation to the affected area. OmniGel may rarely cause side effects. However, you may experience redness, rash or itching at the site of application. These side effects may resolve with time. Consult your doctor at the earliest if any of these symptoms persist for a long time or worsen. OmniGel has to be used as recommended by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area and apply OmniGel. Do not cover or put a hot bag over the place where medicine has been applied. Do not use it on broken skin or open wounds. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, mouth and other sensitive parts as it may cause irritation.

Asthma

Asthma is an allergic reaction causing narrowing of the airway and excess mucous secretion in your lungs leading to breathing difficulty. People with asthma may experience allergic reactions while using OmniGel for a prolonged duration. Hence, it is not recommended for use if you have asthma.

Missed Dose

Apply the missed dose of OmniGel as soon as you remember. Skip the dose if it has been more than 6 hours of missing it. Do not apply twice to compensate for the missed dose.

Overdose

Do not use more quantities of OmniGel as it may cause severe skin irritation, consult your doctor immediately if you notice a rash or redness.

OmniGel is meant for external use only. Follow all dosing instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than recommended by your doctor. Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth and open wounds. If it comes into contact with these areas, immediately rinse with water. Wash and dry the affected areas before application. Use it in small quantities to form a thin layer on the affected areas. Avoid showering or bathing for at least one hour after applying this medicine. Do not cover the application site with clothes or gloves for at least ten minutes.
