Description

Omisec 20 MG Capsule is used to lower the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It helps in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and other conditions caused by excess acid production in the stomach. It has an advantage of once-daily dosing and should be consumed at least 1 hour before breakfast.

General warnings

Clostridium difficile associated Diarrhea

Use of Omisec 20 MG Capsule or other medicines of the same class may increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections like Clostridium Difficile-associated Diarrhea.

Cutaneous and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Omisec 20 MG Capsule may be associated with lupus (systemic and cutaneous). Signs and symptoms such as extreme tiredness, painful joints, rashes and lesions on the skin after consuming omeprazole should be reported immediately to the doctor and Omisec 20 MG Capsule should be discontinued.

Impaired liver function

Use with caution if you suffer from liver impairment. A daily dose of 10 to 20 mg is sufficient.

Bone fracture

Use of high dose of Omisec 20 MG Capsule for prolonged duration may increase the risk of bone fractures especially in older patients and women. Supplements like Calcium citrate and Vitamin D should be taken after consulting the doctor.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the dose and follow the regular schedule.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
