Description

Oltas 20 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and other heart complications. Along with taking this medicine, you should follow a proper diet and exercise regularly. Do not take if you have a known allergy to this medicine.

Contraindications of Oltas 20 MG Tablet

  • Allergy

    Avoid if you have a known allergy to Oltas 20 MG Tablet or any medicine of the same class.
  • Aliskiren

    Use of these medicines is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease with CrCl less than 60 ml/min.

Dosage

    Oltas 20 MG Tablet is used with caution in patients with congestive heart failure, especially if the patient is suffering from volume or sodium depletion. Transient hypotension is also not a contraindication to further treatment with AR antagonists, since therapy can usually be reinstated without difficulty after blood pressure stabilizes.

Warnings

Warnings for special population

  • Pregnancy

    - This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women.
  • Breast-feeding

    - This medicine is not recommended for breastfeeding women.

General warnings

  • Hypotension

    - Symptomatic hypotension may occur patients suffering from volume depletion or those who treated with high dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting this medicine or start the treatment at reduced doses.
  • Hyperkalemia

    - Oltas 20 MG Tablet may cause hyperkalemia, a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.
  • Impaired liver function

    - Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver injury. An initial dose of 10 mg once daily is recommended and should not exceed 20 mg/day.
  • Pediatric population

    - The safety and efficacy of Oltas 20 MG Tablet has not been established in children age below 18 years.
