ContainsMoxifloxacin (0.5 %w/v) + Ketorolac (0.5 %w/v)
Description
Occumox KT Eye Drops is a combination of Moxifloxacin and Ketorolac. This medicine is used as an antibiotic to treat bacterial eye infections. It is also effective in treating the symptoms of pain, redness, and/or swelling that may occur after cataract surgery (an eye surgery to correct blurring of vision). It works by killing the infection-causing bacteria and also reduces the redness and swelling associated with an infection. Occumox KT Eye Drops may cause side effects such as pain, discomfort, irritation, and dryness of the eye. These symptoms usually subside on their own. However, consult your doctor if these symptoms stay for a long time or if they become severe. Occumox KT Eye Drops is for ocular (eyes) use only. It should be instilled into your eyes as prescribed by your doctor. You will start to feel better in a few days. However, continue taking the medicine for the prescribed duration. Skipping doses or not completing the full course of therapy may result in decreased effectiveness of the medicine or increased risk of re-infection. This medicine is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses or fungi. Occumox KT Eye Drops is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of asthma or bleeding disorders. Inform your doctor if you are taking medicines for any other health conditions. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
