Description
Oasoft Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of glucosamine sulfate, potassium chloride, diacerein and methylsulfonylmethane. It is used for the treatment of pain, stiffness and swelling of your joints associated with osteoarthritis. It works by promoting the formation of cartilage (the soft tissue surrounding your joints) which helps in joint repair. Oasoft Tablet may cause some side effects like headache, diarrhoea, urine discolouration, dizziness, nausea, constipation, etc. Seek medical help if these symptoms become severe or persist for a long time. Do not perform any activity that requires concentration like driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Oasoft Tablet should be taken with food to avoid any stomach discomfort. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip a dose of this medicine. Inform your doctor if there is no improvement even after using this medicine. Oasoft Tablet may not be suitable for everyone. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys, heart or liver. Let your doctor know about all your ongoing medications. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Oasoft Tablet

Allergy

Use in children

Diabetes mellitus

Drowsiness

You may feel dizzy or drowsy after taking Oasoft Tablet. Hence do not perform any activities that require mental attention such as driving vehicles or operating machines.

Diarrhoea

You may have diarrhoea (loose stools) after taking Oasoft Tablet. Inform your doctor if it persists for a long time or bothers you.

Diagnostic tests

If you are taking Oasoft Tablet, monitor your liver and kidney functions, as well as your blood count level for every six months, to check for any symptoms or side effects.

Intense yellow discolouration of urine

Taking Oasoft Tablet may cause an intense discolouration of your urine. This is due to the excretion of its byproducts.

Missed Dose

Do not skip the scheduled dose of Oasoft Tablet. If you forget to take a dose, make sure you take the next dose when it is due. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

Irritable bowel syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome is an intestinal disease that causes stomach pain, diarrhoea, and constipation. Oasoft Tablet should be avoided if you have irritable bowel syndrome as it may worsen your condition.
Food interactions
Avoid taking a diet rich in fibres and phytates, while using Oasoft Tablet. A rich diet with high fibres and phytates (beans, nuts and seeds) may interfere with the absorption of this medicine.
