Allergy

Cardiogenic shock

This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a condition where the heart is not able to pump out sufficient blood to the meet the needs of the body.

Sinus Bradycardia

This medicine is not recommended for use if you have this condition where the heart rate is slower than normal due to abnormal conduction of impulses.

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary and the potential benefits outweigh the risks associated. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Breast-feeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
General warnings

Heart disease

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from a disease of the heart or the blood vessels. The risk of adverse effects is significantly high in such cases.

Asthma

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from asthma or any other obstructive disease of the lungs. Report the past/present incidence of any such disease to the doctor before receiving this medicine.

Kidney disease

This medicine should be used with caution in patients having an impairment of the kidney function. Appropriate dose adjustment and monitoring of kidney function are advised in such cases.

Diabetes mellitus

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from diabetes mellitus. It is advised to check the blood sugar levels at regular intervals while taking this medicine.

Hypotension

Use of this medicine may cause a fall in blood pressure characterized by fainting while getting up from a sitting position, excessive sweating, headache, and lethargy. Report any such instance to the doctor on priority.

Hyperthyroidism

This medicine should be used with caution in patients having a high level of thyroid hormones in the body. This medicine can make the detection of high thyroid levels difficult by masking the symptoms of the hyperthyroidism.

Withdrawal symptoms

The use of this medicine should not be stopped abruptly as the patient may feel symptoms like restlessness, change in pulse etc. The dose of this medicine should be reduced gradually to keep these adverse effects away.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose can be skipped. Contact your doctor if you miss more than one scheduled dose of this medicine.

Overdose

Contact your doctor immediately if an overdose with this medicine is suspected. Severe dosage may cause severe or fatal adverse effects on the heart.

Peripheral artery disease

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from a disease where the blood vessels carrying blood to the extremities (feet and hands) are blocked.
