Description
Nummit 15 % Spray is a local anesthetic. It is used to produce a temporary loss of sensation before the insertion of medical instruments and catheters for the medical examination of the nose, throat, stomach, or lungs. It may also be used to prevent pain and discomfort before minor non-invasive procedures in the nose and throat or minor dental procedures. It is also used after childbirth to help relieve pain and soreness in the vaginal area. Nummit 15 % Spray may show some side effects like sore throat or hoarseness of voice if used in the mouth and throat. Also, consult your doctor if numbness and/or local irritation persist at the site of application. Nummit 15 % Spray is usually given by your doctor or dentist in a hospital or clinical setting. The dose will depend on the intended use. If your doctor prescribes this medicine for use at home, use it as recommended. Avoid using more than the recommended dose or for a longer duration. Nummit 15 % Spray is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have injury/cuts/sores/bleeding in your mouth or any area where you may apply it. Consult your doctor if you have seizures (fits), methaemoglobinaemia (a blood disorder), or heart, liver, or kidney problems. Also, inform your doctor about all your current medications to avoid undesired effects. Nummit 15 % Spray should be used with caution in children below 18 years of age and the elderly. Methemoglobinaemia

Missed Dose

Nummit 15 % Spray is not recommended for use in teething babies and young children as the risk of serious side effects is significantly high. The use of this medicine may cause seizures (fits), severe brain damage, and heart complications in this age group.

Heart disease

Prolonged use or large doses of Nummit 15 % Spray can result in elevated blood concentrations of this medicine and increase the risk of low blood pressure or decreased heart rate. Hence, it should be used with extreme caution if you have pre-existing heart conditions like bradycardia (slow heart rate), irregular heartbeat, or severe heart block (a condition where the heart beats more slowly or with an abnormal rhythm).

Kidney disease

Nummit 15 % Spray should be used with caution if you have kidney problems, as prolonged use of high doses of this medicine may get absorbed into the bloodstream and increase the risk of undesired effects.

Seizure disorders
