Description
Nowheiz Tablet is a combination of Montelukast and Desloratadine. This medicine is used to relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, redness of your nose, watery eyes, itching, rash etc. It stops the action of a natural substance called histamine produced in your body during an allergic reaction. Nowheiz Tablet may show some side effects like dry mouth, sore throat, muscle pain, drowsiness and tiredness. Do not drive vehicles or operate machines that require high mental alertness after taking this medicine. If you notice any severe side effects, consult your doctor immediately. Nowheiz Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will be prescribed by your doctor. For the ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. Abrupt discontinuation may worsen your condition. Nowheiz Tablet may interact with the action of other medicines. Inform your doctor about any other health issues like liver, kidney, heart troubles or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Phenylketonuria

Phenylketonuria is an inherited condition that leads to the buildup of a substance called Phenylalanine in your blood. Nowheiz Tablet should be used with caution if you have phenylketonuria because some components of this medicine may cause severe side effects.

Kidney impairment

Nowheiz Tablet should be used with caution if you have a known history of kidney impairment due to the increased risk of worsening the condition.

Driving or operating machinery

Nowheiz Tablet may cause symptoms such as drowsiness or dizziness. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving vehicles or operating heavy machines if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Missed Dose

If you missed a dose of Nowheiz Tablet at a given time, then take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Liver Disease

Nowheiz Tablet should be used with caution if you have severe liver damages. Using it while your liver is already damaged will lead to cholestatic hepatitis [a condition in which the flow of bile (digestive fluid) from the liver stops or slows] and liver injury.

Skin allergy test

Inform your doctor about Nowheiz Tablet before undergoing a skin allergy test. This medicine may interfere with the results of this test; hence, your doctor may advise you to discontinue the use of this medicine at least 2 to 4 days before undergoing this test.
Take Nowheiz Tablet with or without food. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult your doctor if you experience any side effects. Ensure that the course of treatment is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Stop taking Nowheiz Tablet at least three days before an allergy test, since it may affect the findings. Nowheiz Tablet can cause mouth dryness. Maintain good oral hygiene, increase your water intake and consume sugarless candy to avoid dry mouth.
